Specialist Surgeons Serving Manitoba

Minimally Invasive Surgeons (MIS) of Manitoba are specialist surgeons who serve Manitoban’s by providing care using the latest advances in surgical technique and technology. Our group treats patients with a variety of conditions including diseases of the gall bladder, esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon/rectum, spleen, and adrenal glands. We also offer advanced hernia surgery and care for those who live with obesity. MIS Manitoba surgeons are a part of the Section of General Surgery within the Department of Surgery at the University of Manitoba. We are based out of St. Boniface Hospital, Victoria Hospital, and the Grace Hospital.

Our mission aligns with the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons Healthy Sooner campaign(LINK). This mission is to improve the overall value and quality of care through the adoption of, and access to, minimally invasive surgical techniques for the patients we care for. Furthermore, we aim to advance our specialty through excellence in clinical care, research, leadership, and training future generations of Minimally Invasive Surgeons
