Chris Andrew
MD, BSc, FRCSC

Dr Andrew completed his Doctor of Medicine (1998) and General Surgery Residency (2003) at University of Manitoba. He then attained a clinical fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at McGill University, before returning to Winnipeg in 2004.

Dr Andrew is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at University of Manitoba, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences. He is an active member of the minimally invasive and bariatric surgery program at St Boniface Hospital and Victoria Hospital. He holds several clinical leadership positions, including Clinical Surgery Lead, Victoria Hospital, and Medical Director of the WRHA Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Program. Dr Andrew is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and surgical fellows, and is Assistant Program Director of the University of Manitoba Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship Program.

Dr Andrew’s clinic focus is on minimally invasive abdominal surgery, bariatric surgery, acute care surgery and endoscopy.
